Carlos Tevez has made it clear he would like to coach Boca Juniors someday but has ruled out any intentions of running for club president. Speaking to Olga, the former striker said, “Boca has a great coach in Fernando Gago. He’s doing very well. But yes, one always dreams of returning to the club.”

Tevez, who previously managed Rosario Central and Independiente, emphasized that he feels qualified to coach but would only take a job where he feels at ease with the club’s internal dynamics. "In my last two roles, I left because I didn’t feel comfortable with the people running the club… the daily grind wore me down,” he admitted.

Amid recurring speculation, Tevez shut down any notion of entering Boca’s political scene as a future president. “That’s not for me. I’m not ready for that. I’m a coach. They want to push me into politics, but I won’t go there. You need to know your place,” he explained.

Despite past ties to Mauricio Macri and apparent distance from current president Juan Román Riquelme, Tevez remained respectful of the club’s leadership. As a lifelong fan, he also lamented Boca’s current absence from international competition: “It’s sad not seeing Boca in the Libertadores or Sudamericana. You want to watch them on Wednesdays or Thursdays. That’s what the fans miss.”
