The Senegalese Ligue 1 club called for the release of its 18 compatriots this Sunday 22 February.

This was done through a symbolic action with a strong message displayed before kick-off of the Rufisque club's match against US Gorée on the Matchday 16 of the Senegalese professional football championship.

This message, displayed before the Senegalese public and officials, expresses Teungueth FC's solidarity and calls for their unconditional release. The club believes that the 18 supporters sentenced in Rabat following the incidents during the Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and Morocco are victims of injustice.

‘Teungueth Football Club demands the release of the 18 Senegalese supporters unjustly imprisoned in Morocco,’ reads the banner displayed by the club.
