The German coach reportedly told Peña that he lacked self-criticism, even though he admitted his mistake for arriving late to pre-match preparations before the Supercopa game against Athletic.

Peña left the meeting with the impression that reclaiming the No. 1 spot in Ter Stegen’s absence would be difficult. There are now suggestions that he has begun contemplating a departure from Barcelona, although such a move remains unlikely at this stage.
