Dutch manager Erik ten Hag was dismissed by Manchester United’s board and remains without a club.
Details: Ten Hag has stated that he is not planning to return to coaching until July 1, 2025, meaning he will wait until the start of the new season before taking on a new job.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund had considered appointing Ten Hag as their head coach. However, that will not happen, as the financial package required to sign him is currently too costly for Dortmund. Additionally, Ten Hag remains on Manchester United’s payroll.
Reminder: In their financial report, Manchester United officially disclosed the severance payment made to Ten Hag and his coaching staff. As previously reported by the media, the payout amounted to £14.5 million.
