Tebas insists Barcelona must finish the season without Olmo

The confrontation between Spain’s High Council for Sports (CSD), La Liga, and Barcelona is far from over. While the CSD granted Blaugrana temporary permission to register Dani Olmo until April, La Liga president Javier Tebas insists that this should be the final deadline.

Details: Tebas made it clear that Barcelona had enough time to sort out their finances without relying on what he described as "not very solvent companies." He also argued that Olmo was fully aware of the club's financial struggles when signing his agreement.

On January 3, after the guarantees we requested—because the company didn’t seem very solvent—the money arrived. Then they turned to the CSD, and within 24 hours, everything was resolved. This allowed them to take precautionary measures, raising doubts about certain aspects.

Olmo signed his agreements knowing that he might not be registered in December. He knew this could happen. He should not finish the La Liga season with Barcelona—we have made that very clear,” Tebas told Marca.
