The team from the Bundesliga 2. The first finalist of the German Cup has been determined

In the first semi-final match of the German Football Cup, teams from the third and second Bundesliga, Saarbrücken and Kaiserslautern, faced off.

Both teams had an incredible journey on their way to the semi-finals of the cup. This was especially true for Saarbrücken, who eliminated Bayern Munich, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Eintracht Frankfurt. The semi-final featured unexpected clubs from lower leagues, but they put on an excellent display.

In this game, the team from Bundesliga 2, Kaiserslautern, emerged victorious. They played defensively but found moments for their attacks and managed to convert them into goals. Ritter scored first in the second half, and Toure sealed the match later on.

Kaiserslautern became the first finalist of this year's German Cup. On Wednesday, April 3rd, the second semi-final will take place, featuring Bayer Leverkusen and Düsseldorf.
