According to reports, the incident escalated into a physical confrontation that allegedly left Valverde requiring hospital treatment for a head injury.

Following an internal investigation, Real Madrid announced disciplinary action against both players, confirming that Tchouaméni and Valverde were each fined €500,000 over the training-ground incident.
