Tanzania U17 Reach U17 AFCON Playoffs After Dominant 3-0 Win Over Angola

Tanzania U17 became the first nation to secure qualification for the knockout stage of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations after a commanding 3-0 victory against Angola in Group C.

The young Taifa Stars continued their impressive form in the tournament with another convincing performance to remain top of the group standings.

Razaki Mbegelendi gave Tanzania an early lead in the first half before Hassan Kizinga extended the advantage after the break. Angola’s situation worsened when Osvaldo Costa received a red card in the 64th minute, and Tanzania quickly took advantage as Sadam Hamis added a third goal two minutes later to wrap up the win.

The result means Tanzania has now won both of their opening matches and sits comfortably at the top of Group C with six points.
