Talent revolt? Chelsea ready to poach Milan record-holder

The London superclub plans to take advantage of the lack of playing time affecting one of European football’s leading wonderkids.

Details: The owners of London club Chelsea, the BlueCo consortium, have renewed their concrete interest in 18-year-old Milan striker Francesco Camarda. According to TEAMtalk, the Blues’ representatives are closely monitoring the situation surrounding the Italian forward, as he has been virtually denied regular first-team football and a number of European clubs have once again expressed interest in him.

The main source of frustration within the player’s camp is the lack of trust shown by Rossoneri head coach Ruben Amorim. This season, Camarda has played just eight minutes in Serie A, although last summer he made his debut for the Italy national team in matches against Luxembourg and Greece. Milan still view the striker as a long-term prospect, but English clubs are ready to take advantage of the situation: in addition to the BlueCo consortium, City Football Group, Tottenham, Brighton and Brentford are monitoring developments surrounding the talent.

It is worth noting that Camarda spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Lecce. At the end of the campaign, the club exercised its purchase option, but Milan immediately activated the buy-back clause and brought the player back to San Siro. The striker remains the youngest debutant in Serie A history (15 years and 260 days), while respected portal Transfermarkt values the 18-year-old forward at €15 million.
