Szczesny sets a record for Barcelona that still needs to be held

Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny continues to solidify his position within the "Blaugrana" squad, having already played 12 matches for the Catalan team. This allows him to boast a unique achievement.

Details: In these 12 matches, Barcelona has not lost, making him one of only two players to have played more than ten matches for the Catalan team without suffering a single defeat.

The other player is midfielder Sergi Samper, who left Barcelona in 2019 undefeated. He played 13 matches for the "Blaugrana", winning ten and drawing three.

Samper, who now represents Lublin's Motor, is the only player to have played over ten matches and left Barcelona undefeated.

When it comes to the absolute unbeaten streak in debut matches for Barcelona, both Szczesny and Samper have a long way to go to surpass it. The record of 31 consecutive unbeaten matches from debut belongs to Cesc Fabregas in the 2011-2012 season.

Reminder: In the last match, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid played to a thrilling draw, finishing the first leg of the Spanish Cup semi-final with a score of 4-4.
