The Saudi Arabian government continues its global restructuring of the entire football system.

As reported by Marca, the sheikhs have started enticing foreign footballers into the local third league. The conditions offered to them include guaranteed housing and a monthly salary ranging from 3000 to 4000 euros.

In doing so, the Saudis aim to ensure that players from Europe and South America participate in every one of their leagues. They believe this will increase competition among local players, thereby raising the overall level of the national team.

Last summer, Saudi clubs orchestrated a true revolution in the transfer market. Following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, stars such as Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané, Riyad Mahrez, Marcelo Brozovic, Emre Can, Neymar, Sergej Milinković-Savić, and many others joined their league.

Currently, 124 foreign players are participating in the second Saudi division.
