In the semifinal of the prestigious WTA 500 clay court tournament in Stuttgart, the clash was between Iga Swiatek (WTA 1) and Elena Rybakina (WTA 4).

The first set surprisingly went to the representative from Kazakhstan, as the world number one struggled on her serve, leading to her defeat with a score of 3-6. The crucial game of the second set came on Rybakina's serve at 4-5. Swiatek seized the opportunity from the first set point and pushed the game into a decisive third set. However, things didn't go well for Iga in the deciding set as she dropped two of her service games and conceded the victory to her opponent, earning a spot in the final. Interestingly, Swiatek will lose points in the WTA rankings, as she failed to defend her title from last year's Stuttgart tournament.

Iga Swiatek (Poland, 1) - Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan, 4) - 3:6, 6:4, 3:6.

It's worth noting that the odds for Rybakina's victory in this match were as high as 5. In the final, Rybakina's opponent will be the winner of the match between Marta Kostyuk (WTA 27) and Marketa Vondrousova (WTA 8).
