Swiatek broke the Roland Garros record and won a ticket to the fifth stage
The Grand Slam tournament Roland Garros continues in Paris. Today, the world number one, Iga Świątek, faced the 40th-ranked Anastasia Potapova.
The Polish player was the clear favorite and comfortably proved it on the court. Świątek started the match confidently, securing her serve and then breaking her opponent's serve as well. She maintained this momentum throughout the first set.
Entering the second set with the same determination, Świątek continued to dominate the games. Throughout the match, she did not lose a single game to her opponent, with Potapova managing to score only ten points.

The entire match lasted just 40 minutes, setting an absolute record for the tournament. According to statistical portal Opta, which has been keeping records since 2015, this is the fastest fully completed match in the history of Roland Garros.
Iga Świątek continues her confident march towards the final and will meet the winner of the match between Olga Danilović from Serbia (WTA: 125) and the sixth seed from the Czech Republic, Markéta Vondroušová, in the next round.
