Swiatek advanced to the next round of Wimbledon in two sets

The world's top-ranked player, Iga Swiatek, has advanced to the round of 16 at Wimbledon 2024.
In the second-round match, the Polish athlete comfortably defeated Croatian tennis player Petra Martic in straight sets. Martic, ranked 85th in the WTA standings, put up a competitive challenge in the first set, but Swiatek secured a crucial break at a decisive moment to win 6-4. The second set followed a similar pattern, with Swiatek claiming a 6-3 victory.
It's worth noting that Swiatek has never previously won Wimbledon.
In the round of 16, Swiatek will face Kazakhstan's representative, Yulia Putintseva.
