On the final day of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the men's water polo tournament concluded with a highly anticipated final.
The match featured historic rivals Serbia and Croatia, with Serbia once again emerging victorious, just as they did at the 2020 Tokyo Games. The Serbian team triumphed with a 13-11 victory.
The United States claimed the bronze medal, defeating Hungary in a penalty shootout in the third-place match.
This victory marks Serbia's third consecutive Olympic gold in men's water polo. In Rio 2016, they secured the title by defeating Greece in the final.
At the 2024 Paris Games, Serbia won a total of five medals, three of which were gold.
