Super Falcons Players Report Alleged Theft at Team Hotel Ahead of WAFCON 2026
Several Super Falcons players have reportedly alleged that money was stolen from their rooms while the team was staying at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco, ahead of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
According to reports, the players discovered that cash had gone missing from their wallets and immediately raised the matter with the relevant authorities.
The alleged losses are said to total more than $1,250, with individual players reporting different amounts missing. It is claimed that Rasheedat Ajibade lost $200, Joy Omewa reported $120 missing, Halimatu Ayinde allegedly lost $100, while Michelle Alozie is said to have lost $700, among other reported cases.
At the time of writing, neither the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) nor the hotel has issued an official statement regarding the alleged incident, while investigations are expected to continue.
