Super Eagles Stars Set for Premier League Spotlight This Weekend

As the Premier League enters matchweek 11, several Super Eagles players will be looking to shine for their clubs and strengthen their chances of national team selection ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2026 World Cup playoff against Gabon.

At Craven Cottage, Alex Iwobi continues to play a vital role for Fulham after their 3-0 win over Wolves. The midfielder has become key to Marco Silva’s system, known for his creativity and work rate. Iwobi will be eager to maintain his strong form when Fulham visit Everton this weekend, hoping to make an impact before joining the national camp.

For Tolu Arokodare, this weekend could be a defining moment. The Wolves striker has shown flashes of promise, scoring twice in the EFL Cup, and will be hoping for his first Premier League goal against Chelsea. With Wolves needing attacking inspiration, Arokodare could be the surprise element for interim coach James Collins.

At Crystal Palace, Christantus Uche is still battling for game time but remains hungry to impress. Despite limited minutes since joining, his pace and direct style could trouble Brighton’s defence if given the chance in the A23 derby.

Meanwhile, Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest will be desperate to rediscover his scoring touch against Leeds United after a quiet run of games.

Finally, Fulham defender Calvin Bassey continues to stand out with his solid defensive work and aerial strength. His display against Everton could reaffirm his readiness for Nigeria’s upcoming qualifiers.

All five players will be eager to turn heads this weekend as matchweek 11 unfolds.
