Super Eagles Retain Unity Cup Title With Dominant Victory Over Jamaica
Nigeria successfully defended their Unity Cup crown after producing an impressive performance to defeat Jamaica 3-0 in the final at The Valley on Saturday.
Nigeria made a dream start to the contest and took the lead just three minutes into the match through Alhassan Yusuf, who capped off an early spell of pressure with a well-taken finish.
The Super Eagles continued to control proceedings and created the better chances throughout the encounter. Their dominance was rewarded again shortly before the hour mark when Terem Moffi doubled the advantage, putting Jamaica on the back foot.
With the Reggae Boyz struggling to find a way back into the game, Nigeria sealed the victory in dramatic fashion as Yusuf grabbed his second goal of the evening in the 90th minute.
