Super Eagles’ Maduka Okoye Denies Penalty in Udinese’s 3-0 Loss to Bologna
Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye made a crucial penalty save in Udinese's 3-0 defeat to Bologna in their Serie A clash.
The Nigerian international made the crucial save in the 41st minute, denying Riccardo Orsolini from the spot, keeping his team in the game during the first half.
Despite his heroics, Bologna broke the deadlock in the 54th minute through a composed finish from Tommaso Pobega. The visitors doubled their lead just six minutes later as Pobega struck again, and Federico Bernardeschi sealed the 3-0 victory with a stoppage-time goal in the 94th minute.
The defeat leaves Udinese in 10th place on the Serie A table with 15 points, as Okoye’s individual brilliance could not prevent the loss.
