Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, alongside his assistants and backroom staff, arrived in Cairo on Saturday, marking the start of Nigeria’s build-up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Nigerian national team is reportedly camped at the Renaissance Hotel in Cairo, where preparations officially kick off on Sunday. The early arrival of the technical crew signals a focused approach as the Super Eagles look to fine-tune tactics and team chemistry ahead of upcoming international engagements.
Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has already joined the team in camp, becoming one of the first players to report for duty. The majority of players named in Chelle’s squad are expected to arrive later today as camp activities gather momentum.
As part of their preparation, the Super Eagles will face the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly on Tuesday. The highly anticipated encounter will take place at the Cairo International Stadium.
