Nigeria’s preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have taken a significant step forward with the arrival of first-choice Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali at the team’s training camp in Cairo.

Nwabali links up with fellow shot-stopper Francis Uzoho as the national team begins to gather momentum ahead of the highly anticipated continental tournament.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that the Super Eagles’ camp officially opened on Sunday, December 14, at the Renaissance Hotels in Cairo. Members of the coaching crew and backroom staff were already on ground ahead of the players’ arrival, ensuring a smooth start to preparations.

As the countdown to AFCON 2025 continues, the Super Eagles will be competing in Group C, where they face Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
