Nigeria’s Super Eagles will return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with bronze medals, national pride and significant financial gains after finishing third at the tournament. Their record-breaking campaign at the continental showpiece earned a guaranteed $2.5m in prize money, roughly N3.6bn, under the revised Confederation of African Football reward structure.

The team sealed the bronze in Casablanca by defeating Egypt 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw, ending the competition on a winning note. Third place at AFCON 2025 is valued at $2.5m, with champions receiving $10m.

Beyond CAF prize money, players are set to earn individual bonuses, while businessman Abdul Samad Rabiu redeemed his $500,000 pledge. On the pitch, Nigeria won their first five games, scored 14 goals and finished with composure after bouncing back to beat Egypt, giving the campaign both progress and profit for the Super Eagles and Nigerian football supporters nationwide alike.
