Super Eagles Camp Grows to 14 as Lookman, Ajayi Join Squad
The Super Eagles’ camp in Rabat is filling up fast ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon. Four more players—Ademola Lookman, Semi Ajayi, Stanley Nwabali, and Amas Obasogie—have arrived, bringing the total number in camp to 14.
Earlier arrivals include Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Olakunle Olusegun, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong, Benjamin Frederick, and Chidozie Awaziem.
Seven more players are expected later on Monday as the team intensifies preparations for Thursday’s playoff against Gabon in Rabat. The winner will progress to the African playoff final on November 16 against either Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The 14 players currently training are: Bassey, Iwobi, Chukwueze, Arokodare, Olusegun, Ndidi, Simon, Troost-Ekong, Frederick, Awaziem, Obasogie, Nwabali, Ajayi, and Lookman.
