Stand-in Super Eagles coach Daniel Ogunmodede has added five new players to his team before the important second leg of their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Ghana.
The new players are:
- Samuel Ayanrinde (Shooting Stars)
- Sunday Megwo (Abia Warriors)
- Kazeem Ogunleye (Enugu Rangers)
- Vincent Temitope (Plateau United)
- Badmus Gbadamosi (Kwara United).
These additions come after an 18-player team went to Accra for the first leg, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
The team started training for the crucial return match in Uyo on Tuesday.
The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo will host the second match on Saturday. Nigeria will go to the coveted 2024 CHAN competition with a victory.
