Sunderland Winger Simon Adingra Set for Monaco Loan Move

Sunderland winger Simon Adingra is closing in on a loan switch to AS Monaco, with the Ivorian international scheduled to undergo a medical in London ahead of the move.

Both clubs have reached an agreement that will see Adingra join the Ligue 1 side until the end of the season, with the deal reported to include a loan fee in excess of £1 million.

Adingra only arrived at Sunderland from Brighton last summer but has struggled for regular minutes this campaign, making just nine Premier League appearances under head coach Régis Le Bris. The lack of consistent playing time has prompted the 24-year-old to seek a temporary move away in order to get his season back on track.
