Sunderland Agree £8.6m Deal to Sign DR Congo Midfielder Jules Ahoka from Royal Antwerp

Sunderland have reportedly agreed a deal to sign young Royal Antwerp midfielder Jules Ahoka ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Black Cats have reached an agreement with the Belgian club for the permanent transfer of the 20-year-old defensive midfielder.

Romano reported that the deal is complete, with Ahoka set to travel to England as he prepares to join Sunderland.

Sunderland’s interest in the DR Congo youth international is understood to have been driven by sporting director Florent Ghisolfi, who reportedly identified the midfielder as a key target for the club.

With the agreement now in place, the midfielder will undergo the necessary formalities before completing his move to the Stadium of Light.
