Details: According to TimesSport, Manchester United have set their sights on West Ham's 21-year-old central midfielder, Portuguese talent Mateus Fernandes.
It's reported that the Red Devils rate their chances of signing Fernandes as very high after West Ham's relegation to the Championship at the end of the season. Manchester are prepared to offer around £40 million to West Ham, who are currently experiencing financial difficulties following their drop from the Premier League.
Fernandes joined West Ham in the summer of 2025 from Southampton for €44 million. The Portuguese midfielder has made 38 appearances for the Hammers this season, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists.
Mateus Fernandes' transfer value is currently estimated at €35 million by Transfermarkt.
