Stuttgart surprised many last season. The team managed to beat Bayern in the German championship and win their first Champions League title in 15 years. One of the cousins of this success will be able to stay with the team for a longer period of time.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Stuttgart have reached an agreement with English Brighton to buy out the contract of forward Deniz Undav. The deal will cost the Bundesliga silver medallist last season at least €30 million.
That's what Stuttgart will have to pay for the 28-year-old forward outright. But the deal also includes bonuses, the size of which Plettenberg has not disclosed. The German with Turkish roots is expected to sign a contract with the club until 2027.
Undav really showed his best side last season, scoring 19 goals and giving 10 assists in 33 games for Stuttgart.
