The owners of Chelsea also control Strasbourg, a situation that has sparked discontent among supporters in France — and the fans have made their feelings known.
Details: Journalist Lloyd Canfield shared a photo showing Strasbourg supporters displaying a banner reading: “Chelsea does not decide what happens in Strasbourg.” They attempted to enter the stadium with the banner but were denied access.
Meanwhile, Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior could reportedly be dismissed if he fails to steer the Blues into the top four and secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Reminder: Strasbourg claimed an impressive 3–1 victory over Lyon in the previous Ligue 1 round. The side currently sit seventh in the table with 34 points from 23 matches, just three points adrift of the European qualification places.
