Brazilian top club Atletico Paranaense has made a surprising decision that has caught everyone off guard.

Atletico Paranaense has dismissed the well-known Colombian coach Juan Carlos Osorio, who was appointed to his position just 2 months ago.

Yesterday, Atletico Paranaense suffered their first defeat under Osorio's leadership, losing to Londrina (0:1) in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Paranaense State Championship. In total, Osorio worked for the Brazilian club for 11 matches: 6 wins, 4 draws, and 1 loss.

According to Globo, the reason for the dismissal was not the team's performance but Osorio's poor relationship with the players. The footballers are dissatisfied with the fact that the coach has not settled on a starting eleven in the two months he has been in charge.

Before Atletico Paranaense, Osorio coached Zamalek in Egypt, Atletico Nacional, the national teams of Paraguay and Mexico, Deportivo Cali, and Sao Paulo.
