Derek Mountfield, the former Everton footballer who played for the club in the 1980s, has issued an appeal on social media X after his camper was stolen.

"So f***ing annoyed, our motorhome was stolen last night. Any info would be appreciated, but I fear it's too late now," Mountfield wrote.

Fans have shown their support in the comments, expressing hope that the camper will be found.

Mountfield was a key defender for Everton from 1982 to 1988, during one of the club's most successful eras. During his time, Everton won two English league titles, the FA Cup in 1983/84, the Cup Winners' Cup in 1984/85, and two Charity Shields.

"I was a season ticket holder at Goodison for years and now I find myself signing a two year deal and playing with some of my heroes that I had supported on the terraces with my mates who I now had to leave behind on matchdays. I was given a 2 year contract that said I signed for Everton FC. What happened in the next 6 years was surreal," Mountfield recalled in an interview with ISSA Historian.

After leaving Everton, Mountfield went on to play for clubs like Aston Villa, Wolverhampton, Carlisle United, and Walsall. He also made one appearance for the England U-21 national team.
