Danish Superliga club Randers FC will bid farewell to Nigerian forward Stephen Odey at the end of this month, as his contract comes to a close. The departure marks the end of a memorable four-and-a-half-year stint with the Horses.

Odey initially joined Randers on loan from Belgian side KRC Genk ahead of the 2021/22 season, with the Danish club later exercising an option to make the move permanent. Over the years, he has become a key figure in the squad, known for his attacking prowess and work ethic.

The 27-year-old took to the club’s official channels to thank the fans, staff, and teammates for their support throughout his time in Denmark.

“I have really enjoyed my time here in Randers. It has been a fantastic period with fantastic people at the club – from the staff and management to the players and fans,” Odey said.

“I have been here for many years, through both good and bad times, and I will really miss the club – but that is life in football. I wish the team all the best for the rest of the season.”

During his tenure at Randers, Odey made 129 appearances and scored 28 goals, leaving a lasting impression on the club and its supporters.
