Staying in Madrid for years to come! Real to extend contract with their key player
German centre-back Antonio Rüdiger has agreed terms on a new contract with Real Madrid.
Details: According to Marca, both parties have successfully concluded negotiations, which were resumed at the start of 2026 after the defender made a full recovery from a muscle injury and proved his irreplaceable value to the coaching staff’s plans.
The current contract of the 33-year-old defender was set to expire in the summer of 2026, fueling plenty of speculation about a possible move elsewhere. However, Rüdiger’s own priority has always been clear – to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu.
This season, the German centre-back has made eighteen appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions, scoring one goal.
Reminder: The legendary ad featuring Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappé, and Vinícius turned out to be a fake.
