Start dates announced for Betway Premiership and MTN8 2025/26

Details: According to reports, FARPost has obtained a document revealing the kickoff dates for the new season of the Betway Premiership and the national cup.
The league is set to kick off on August 8, 2025, while the MTN8 will get underway on August 1, officially launching the calendar of national tournaments in South Africa.
This season's MTN8 will feature clubs such as Mamelodi Sundowns, Stellenbosch FC, Sekhukhune United, TS Galaxy, AmaZulu FC, Polokwane City FC, Richards Bay FC, and the reigning cup holders—Orlando Pirates.
The Motsepe Foundation Championship will start later than the rest—on August 22, when teams will begin their battle for promotion to the Betway Premiership. After last season, Durban City FC and Orbit College earned promotion to the top flight.
The upcoming season promises to be action-packed and full of excitement!
