Stanford Nkoane close to returning to coach new PSL club
Venda FC is pushing hard to retain the services of rising coaching talent Abram Nkoane, with sources confirming the club has tabled an offer. However, they face stiff competition from ambitious second-tier side JDR Stars, whose new ownership has also submitted a proposal for the former university football mentor.
Highly regarded as one of South Africa’s promising young coaches, Nkoane boasts experience at PSL outfits Baroka FC and Marumo Gallants. His potential move to Venda’s rivals Black Leopards recently fell through at the last moment.
The situation remains fluid as JDR Stars – set to relocate to Limpopo under new owner Lester Makatoane – have yet to finalize their restructuring plans. The club’s proposed rebranding still requires PSL approval. Nkoane’s current short-term contract with the team expires in June, putting multiple clubs on high alert for his signature.
