Standoff between Lassine Sinayoko and Auxerre
The Malian international feels betrayed by his club’s management and is refusing to train.
Lassine Sinayoko had agreed to extend his contract with Auxerre last summer until June 2027. But this extension came with one condition: to let Lassine Sinayoko leave if he so wished.
And the club had agreed to this. However, as suitors have come forward during this summer’s transfer window for the Malian forward, Auxerre has changed its mind, according to reports from Foot Mercato. The French club is refusing to sell Lassine Sinayoko, the media outlet claims.
This U-turn has disappointed the Malian international. Consequently, Sinayoko now considers that trust with Auxerre’s management has been broken and no longer wishes to train.
The 26-year-old is determined to leave in search of a new challenge.
