Recently, Sporting's long-time goalkeeper Antonio Adan turned 37, and Ruben Amorim had to worry about his replacement. Such a one was found in a far from strong championship.

According to O Jogo, Sporting are finalising the signing of 26-year-old goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic from Polish side Raków. Notably, the Bosnian is the most expensive player in the Polish championship according to Transfermarkt, which values him at seven million euros. But the Lisbon club will pay less than that.

It is reported that Rakuv will receive 4.8 million euros for their most expensive player, and another 1.2 million euros is provided in the form of bonuses for various sporting achievements. Also, the club from Częstochowa can count on 10 per cent of Kovacevic's subsequent resale.

The 26-year-old Bosnian managed to impress during Rakuv's terrific campaign in the last European Cup season, when the team made it through three UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds and stopped one step away from the group stage. At this stage of the Europa League, Rakuv played against Sporting.
