The football world has probably never seen anything like this before.
Details: Tomorrow, Mirandés and Sporting Gijón are set to clash in the 13th round of La Liga 2, but the match was on the verge of being called off due to Sporting’s kit issues.
The crux of the problem: all of Gijón’s available kits clashed with Mirandés, while the third kit was ruled out because its badge had been altered and was not officially registered.
The club scrambled to register the second badge version, but approval will not come through in time for tomorrow’s fixture.

In the end, the club was forced to urgently manufacture 80 completely new sets of the third kit—this time featuring the official crest, sponsor logos, and player numbers.
Reports indicate that this special kit will not go on sale and will be worn just once, in tomorrow’s match.
Currently, Sporting Gijón sit ninth in La Liga 2 with 19 points.
