Richard Arnold steps down as Manchester United chief executive.

This is stated in a message on the club's official website.

They clarified that Arnold had left his position after 16 years of work in the “Red Devils” structure. He made the decision to leave himself. Patrick Stewart will temporarily take over his position. Arnold will continue to provide a kind of support until the end of December.

"I would like to thank Richard for his outstanding service to Manchester United over the past 16 years and wish him well for the future. We are grateful for the opportunity to benefit from Patrick Stewart's depth of knowledge and experience to provide interim stability and continuity while we search for a new permanent CEO ", said club co-owner Joel Glaser.

Arnold himself admitted that it has been an honour to serve this great football club over the past 16 years.

“I would like to thank everyone for their dedication and commitment and wish everyone associated with the club nothing but the best for the future,” he said.
