Prague's Sparta secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Salzburg in the first round of the UEFA Champions League.
This match was especially significant for Sparta’s Nigerian forward, Victor Olatunji, who recorded a goal and an assist.
Olatunji became only the third African player to score and assist in his UEFA Champions League debut, following in the footsteps of Daniel Cousin in 2007 (for Rangers against Lyon) and Serge Aurier in 2015 (for PSG against Shakhtar).
Moreover, he became the first Nigerian player to achieve this feat.
The 25-year-old Olatunji has been playing for Sparta since last summer, with the Prague club paying €900,000 for his transfer.
