Spanish club sets sights on Real Madrid legend! Sergio Ramos could make a surprise return to football
Getafe are considering a move for Sergio Ramos. The Madrid club’s president, Ángel Torres, has confirmed that the 40-year-old defender is on the list of potential new arrivals for José Bordalás’ side.
“I spoke to his brother, who is his agent. We have six centre-backs, and this position was not a priority. The coach needed wide players, but it is not too late. He could come because we have been working on this for a long time. But it was not a priority. If we sign a centre-back in January, that possibility exists, although we are well covered in that position,” Torres said on the Tablero Deportivo programme on Radio Nacional.
Getafe have therefore not ruled out a high-profile transfer, although no concrete agreement has been announced yet. Ramos, renowned for his spells with Real Madrid and the Spain national team, could become one of the club’s most notable signings if the parties reach an agreement.
It is worth noting that Getafe only recently announced the arrival of another legendary former Real Madrid player, Dani Carvajal.
