Atlético Madrid forward and Spain national team captain Álvaro Morata has reconsidered his move to the Saudi Pro League.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the experienced striker has informed Atlético of his desire to continue his career with the Madrid club. Head coach Diego Simeone is also keen for Morata to stay.

However, the final decision will be made after the conclusion of Euro 2024.

Previously, it was reported that Morata had a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League newcomers Al-Qadsiah, who have already signed Real Madrid legend Nacho Fernández.

In the past season, Morata scored 15 goals and provided 4 assists in 32 matches for Atlético.

The 31-year-old forward’s contract with Atlético runs until the summer of 2026.
