Southampton Ready to Sell Joe Aribo for £1.5m as Turkish Clubs Show Interest
Southampton are reportedly prepared to part ways with Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo for as little as £1.5 million in the upcoming January transfer window, with several Turkish Super Lig sides monitoring his situation closely as his time at St Mary’s appears to be winding down.
Aribo, who joined the Saints from Rangers in 2022, has struggled to secure consistent playing time this season. The Nigerian international has made only six appearances, falling down the pecking order as Southampton push on with their Championship campaign.
With his contract set to expire this summer, the club is now willing to cash in rather than risk losing him on a free transfer. Reports suggest Southampton have set their asking price at around €1.5 million, a significantly reduced fee compared to the amount they invested when signing him.
According to Saint News, Turkish clubs Göztepe and Trabzonspor are among the sides interested in bringing Aribo to the Super Lig, with both teams reportedly preparing to make a move once the transfer window opens.
