South Sudan upset the odds on the road by thrashing Djibouti 4-0 in the first leg of their AFCON 2027 qualifiers preliminary round clash to claim their first win last ten games across all competitions.
The visitors took control early and never looked back. Debutant Teng Kuol opened the scoring in the 31st minute to give South Sudan a deserved lead heading into halftime.
Shortly after the break, Bangasi Bakasoro doubled the advantage in the 49th minute, putting Djibouti under serious pressure.
