This weekend brings us the latest round of action in the South African Premier League, as matchday 29 gets underway. Seven games are set to take place across Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, May 17, six matches were played. Only two teams managed to secure victory: Cape Town City kept their hopes alive to remain in the top flight, while Stellenbosch held onto third place with a win over SuperSport. Four other fixtures ended in draws, including the clash between Orlando Pirates and TS Galaxy.

On Sunday, May 18, Mamelodi comfortably defeated Magesi at home. Magesi remain in the danger zone, currently sitting in 12th place. It’s worth noting that Sundowns have already secured the South African Premier League title ahead of schedule and are now merely playing out the rest of the season.
