Rhulani Mokwena breathed a sigh of relief after leading Wydad Casablanca to a 2-1 Botola Pro League win against Moghreb Tetouan on Saturday. This victory snapped a three-game losing skid, including a 4-1 home defeat against Maghreb Fes.

Following his heavy defeat to MAS Fès, Mokwena said that there was a lot of pressure on him, with rumors about his future prevalent. "We had to play for three points today, and that's all that matters," he said, characterizing the victory as crucial. He complimented the team's strong performances in spite of the loss to Maghreb Fes, but he also noted that the setback had become a turning point.

Mokwena is under growing pressure to juggle league and CAF Confederation Cup commitments, and Wydad is 12 points behind RS Berkane. The South African coach emphasized his dedication to enhancing performance while expressing his will to stay with the club.

Meanwhile, Wydad's internal dynamics were tested by a dispute involving player Nassim Chadli over his exclusion from the starting lineup. The club is working to resolve the issue internally.

Wydad wants to win both domestically and in the CAF Cup, thus Mokwena's future with the team depends on getting good results.
