Soucek Opts Out of Signature Helicopter Celebration in Leicester Match. Here's Why.

Yesterday, West Ham defeated Leicester 2-0 at home in the 27th round of the Premier League, with Czech midfielder Tomas Soucek opening the scoring. However, he did not celebrate the goal in his usual style.

Details: Typically, Soucek celebrates his goals by spinning around several times, mimicking a helicopter rotor.

But in yesterday's match, he refrained from this move as a sign of respect for Leicester's former president Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who tragically died in a helicopter crash in 2018.

This season, Soucek has scored 6 goals and provided 1 assist in 25 Premier League matches.

Reminder: Yesterday, Soucek also matched a unique achievement of Teddy Sheringham.
