Forward Son Heung-Min of Tottenham forever etched his name into the annals of the English Premier League.
The South Korean footballer scored from a penalty against Newcastle (4-1) in a triumphant match for the Spurs in the 16th round. This goal marked his tenth in the current season's championship.
Remarkably, Son has scored 10 or more goals in the Premier League for eight consecutive seasons. He becomes only the seventh player in the league's history to achieve this milestone, joining the ranks of Wayne Rooney, who accomplished it for 11 seasons, Frank Lampard (10 seasons), Sergio Agüero (9 seasons), Harry Kane (9 seasons), Thierry Henry (8 seasons), and Sadio Mané (8 seasons).
Earlier, Son Heung-Min became the first South Korean footballer to score 100 goals in the Premier League.
The South Korean forward has been with the Spurs since the 2015/2016 season. Overall, he has scored 154 goals and provided 82 assists in 388 matches across all competitions.
Following the victory against Newcastle, Postecoglou's side remained in fifth place in the Premier League table with 30 points from 16 matches. On December 15th, the London team will face Nottingham Forest away.
