World number three Aryna Sabalenka, who does not represent any country on the WTA Tour, easily made it to the quarter-finals of the WTA500 tournament in Berlin.

In the 1/8 finals, Sabalenka defeated Daria Kasatkina, who is ranked 14th in the world rankings, in two sets.

In the first set, Sabalenka left Kasatkina no chance at all, beating her 6-1. Kasatkina managed to put up a fight in the second set, but at the decisive moment she lost a game on her serve and was defeated 4-6.

It took Sabalenka only 1 hour and 2 minutes to win the match.

Sabalenka's opponent in the 1/4 finals will be Anna Kalinskaya, who knocked out Markéta Vondroušová in the 1/8 finals.
