Snooker legend opens his academy in Saudi Arabia

Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan has officially announced the opening of his own academy in Saudi Arabia.

The seven-time world champion shared this news on his Instagram page.

“Really happy to announce that I will be opening an academy in Riyadh and acting as an ambassador for snooker in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to promote and develop the sport. ’ve given everything to snooker and I’m grateful to be able to give something back and help grow the sport in new markets around the world”, wrote the British player.

According to O'Sullivan, he was impressed by the level of organization of the World Masters of Snooker tournament in Riyadh last year. Previously, Saudi Arabia had not hosted top-level snooker tournaments.
